Recently, in my local paper, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, there was a notice that the city has given the green light for a conservative group to use a city community center for an event telling how to “protect kids from LGBTQ ideology and the social contagion of transgenderism” Wikipedia defines ideology ‘’ideology is’ a coherent system of ideas.’ The word idea, to me, suggests a nebulous, changeable energy.
What is not changeable is biology. Grass cannot stop being green. The Divine Maker of humanity created the tapestry of humankind and saw it was good and allowed us to love and learn. The Divine Maker also gave us free will, with teachers along the way suggesting the Divine Purpose. Did not Jesus the Christ tell us in John 13:34″ “A new command I give you: Love one another As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
What I see in religion, not spirituality, are the folks that make up “conservative groups” expressing the thinking, “Sorry, God, My judgment is more valid than yours. Love is not the issue here. My fear, my hate, is a more powerful force. Just go – you are no longer relevant.” I’m observing and thinking” “I wonder which of these groups will experience being’ ‘smacked in the hinder parts first.”
