We can receive inspiration from anywhere; it is an abundant universe. This topic of reverence was a splash of “wake-up” from watching a documentary about craftsmen/women in America. What struck me was their unified reverence in whatever artistic medium they were expressing. Has the outside world robbed us of being fully present in our holy moments? Have we gotten lost in our electronic ‘playthings’? Have we gotten lost in the drama of the political climate?
Spiritual teachers uniformly recommend that we focus on our inner world, cultivating our spiritual power and building those muscles rather than giving our energy away to outside distractions. They also suggest we develop our inner light by communicating with our connection to the Divine. And then, almost as an afterthought, many have suggested reviving a hobby.
I confidently know that each of us remembers that reverence we felt when we breathed deeply in the holiness when walking in a forest or by the ocean. We must all have felt that satisfaction we breathed in when we created…… It has been said we are closest to God when we are creating. Now is the essential time to cultivate our inner world. Rev. Pat.
