You will never be more of the God aspect of yourself than when you are creating! When you are creating, you stand aside and let the energy flow through you into your creation. By nature, as the creator, you stand aside and surrender to the muse of inspiration. Now, here is the kicker. It is not essential whether you create a masterpiece or you create crap. NOBODY CARES!!! It is the act of oneness with all that is Divine that is important when we create. It is then that you become of use, not because of the creation but because of going through the process of creation.
My minister and I have had a mutual friend for many decades. We all attended the same New Thought church and classes and volunteered for various jobs within the church. To this day, our friend laments that she cannot make the same connection to God/Source that the Rev. Doc. and I have.
This is just plain impossible! She does not recognize herself as being a gifted creative. Her cooking is legendary. This question is not only for her but also for you. Aren’t you aware that when you stand still in contemplation before the dish you are preparing on the stove, thinking to yourself, what does this soup need? Hmmm, thyme, bay leaf????? And then the thought pops into your head – OH – yes, fennel. AT THAT MOMENT, YOU HAVE BECOME AWARE OF A CONNECTION WITH THE DIVINE SOURCE!
There is a key moment of spiritual growth in this experience. The definition of being a mystic is being aware of God in EVERYTHING. We have all gone through life casually accepting the moment of “Oh, yes, fennel” as an everyday occurrence, and put the fennel in the soup, rinse the spoon off, and put it in the sink, moving on.
The key to graduating from Jr. High to Sr. High in Earth School is when you recognize that, in that small act of the inspiration of adding an ingredient to the soup, is a realization that you have just connected to the unlimited. And you have the power to do it again because you have been living in this connection all your life. You have graduated into that awareness. (This is the real definition of being woke.)
In that moment of changed awareness, you have opened the door to Unlimited
